Rally Hail that was initially launched in 2006 was very successful and attracted visitors from near and far. The increasing numbers of visitors is witness to such an accomplishment. This success can be traced back to the nature of the land and the unique mountainous structure, sand dunes, and plains. The international rally is appropriately named the Great Nfood Challenge which has helped Hail mark its place on the international rally map. The SCTA seeks to assist all locals in this festival by sponsoring accompanying events.

 

Hail Tourism Festival for Desert Heritage, held in 2008. The region is known for its cultural and heritage components, and old customs and traditions, which when applied to the festival, helped contribute an essential element to develop the tourism movement in the region and establish Hail tourism components. This has added to the success of the Hail Rally Festival and accompanying events lead by HRH the Emir of the Province and his deputy who have dedicated their time towards pushing tourism development in the province, as well as the Tourism Development Council, and the support awarded by the SCTA for Hail to become a unique tourism destination. In its first round of organization, Hail saw the support and participation of members of the Arab community residing in the Kingdom. It seeks, in the years to come, to gain international participation.

 

Summer Festivals: The region is renowned for its mild climates during the summer months. During the summer of every year Hail organizes its Summer Festival that is filled with interesting events and activities. Such festivals are held in Hail and neighboring cities, towns and villages, seeking a variety of festivals held in numerous sites to develop tourism.

 

Eid Festivals: Both Eid AlFitr and Eid AlAdha have a place in the events calendar where many heritage, cultural and recreational events have been scheduled for each innumerous sites.
